Math Explorations 2011

A how-to approach toward building a strong foundation in addition, subtraction, skip counting, number sentences, pattern making and its connection to the natural world.  Each session will include skill drills and a hands-on exploratory activity that applies what was learned in the day’s activity. (ages 4-7)

 Meets: M-F 9-12pm

(Session 1: June 20– 24th 2011)

An in-depth look at the base ten system with topics such as building numbers, digit placement, greater than and less than, Each session will include skill drills and hands-on activities. ( ages 4- 7)

 Meets: M-F  9-12pm

(Session 2: July 11– 15th 2011)

This is an introduction to the way we look at parts of one whole.  Along with using concrete hand-on models students will be using the clock model  and apply the skills of fractions, addition and subtraction.  Each session will include skill drills and hands-on activities. (ages 4-7)
